Legendary rock photographer Henry Diltz will curate a one-night art installation for The Art of Elysium on December 12. The nonprofit named him its Heaven Visionary for the gala, which takes place at Chaplin Studios in Hollywood. Diltz will design the space to resemble the lush landscapes of Laurel Canyon and Woodstock, locations where he captured many of his most famous images.

The Art of Elysium supports individuals facing illness, isolation, and life transitions by fostering community connection. Jennifer Howell, the organization's founder and CEO, praised Diltz's ability to put subjects at ease. "Henry has a remarkable gift for making people feel comfortable enough to reveal who they are," Howell said. She added that this spirit aligns with the group's mission to bring artists and communities together.

Diltz has photographed iconic acts including The Doors, The Eagles, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, and James Taylor. His work appears on numerous album covers, cementing his status as a central figure in rock history. The organization describes his legacy as one of imagination and storytelling, a quality shared with the musicians who performed in his lens.

The evening will be co-chaired by John Mayer, Alix and McG Nichol, Faryal Ganjehei, and Sima Morrison. Rain Phoenix, a musician and sister of Joaquin and River Phoenix, will receive the organization's Spirit of Elysium honor. She was recognized for her work supporting the communities served by The Art of Elysium.

Elijah Wood and Chris Holmes will serve as DJs for the event. Funds raised during the night will go directly toward the nonprofit's programs. These initiatives help people navigating disability, emotional challenges, and displacement find belonging and dignity through expression.
