Temple University released an alert on Monday night notifying students of an alleged sexual assault at a residence located off campus. The announcement also included a separate warning about a person exposing himself at the Howard Gittis Student Center.

University officials stated that the off-campus incident involved two students who knew one another. The administration said it could not provide further specifics on the matter. The alert was distributed to the campus community to inform students of the event.

Regarding the Gittis Center incident, the university noted that the individual involved is not affiliated with the school. Temple Police received a photo of a potential suspect. Security staff at the center were instructed to call police immediately if the person returns. The university also implemented additional security walkthroughs at the facility.

In a statement, the university emphasized its commitment to supporting students who report sexual misconduct. The text stated, "It takes courage to report, and we are committed to working with every student who experiences sexual misconduct, ensuring they are supported and made aware of all available resources." Officials added that those found responsible for assaults are "held accountable."

The alert listed available resources and provided reminders regarding consent. The university encouraged anyone with information or who witnesses similar behavior to contact Temple Police at 215-204-1234.
