Musk recently announced to allow adult and graphic posts on the X platform. After some users raised concerns over the new feature, Musk said that he would add a ‘porn-free’ feature.
X, a popular micro-blogging platform, which was earlier known as Twitter, announced that it will let users post adult and graphic content earlier this week. Now, Elon Musk said he would ensure a ‘porn-free’ experience for the users who are not willing to watch such content on the platform. The platform has tweaked its policy to formally allow the platform users to post adult and graphic content.
When an X user asked the billionaire if he is going to allow porn, “Would it be possible to have a function that allows us to use X without being exposed to it like a porn-free mode?”
To which, Musk replied, “This is top priority”, as policymakers all over the world are continuing to curb the spread of such content on social media.
Another user commented that Musk should “seriously provide transparent options for people” who do not want to see such ads in comment threads.
“Just ban it all together,” an X user posted.
According to X, users should be able to create, distribute and consume material related to sexual themes as long as it is consensually produced and distributed.
The new X rules also cover artificial intelligence (AI)-generated sexual videos and images.
It was a couple of days back when Musk made the feature official, to which people started commenting on their concerns. After much of the hue and cry over the surge in porn content, in the latest updated policy, the platfrom said that the users will be able to share consensually produced and distributed adult nudity or sexual behaviour.
