Parents across the United States are being told to stop feeding their toddlers a popular soft-baked snack bar. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration issued a warning on November 2, 2026, citing cases where the product blocked children's airways completely.
Once Upon a Farm is voluntarily recalling every unit of its Tractor Wheels bars. The recall covers all flavors, package sizes, and expiration dates. The affected items include Apple, Sweet Potato, & Spinach; Strawberry, Pumpkin, & Beet; and Banana, Pumpkin & Cauliflower varieties.
The agency stated that the bars form a dry, sticky mass when chewed. This texture can prevent back blows and the Heimlich maneuver from dislodging the food. The FDA noted that some incidents required emergency medical intervention and hospital observation.
While the FDA did not specify the total number of reports, the company said it received three complaints about potential choking hazards. John Foraker, the CEO of Once Upon a Farm, said the firm is reformulating the product. He stated the goal is to ensure the bars adhere to the highest standards.
Foraker added that the company aims to drive systemic improvement in childhood nutrition. He said the mission starts by doing what is right for customers. The bars are sold at major retailers including Costco, Target, Walmart, and Amazon.
Customers should not open or consume the recalled items. They can return the product to the point of purchase for a full refund or email care@uponafarm.com. No other Once Upon a Farm products are part of this recall.
