Minnesota Timberwolves fans saw their team overcome a mid-game deficit and navigate a roster depleted by injuries to secure a 117-107 victory over the Houston Rockets on Wednesday night. The win marked the Rockets' second loss this season, while Minnesota improved its record despite missing key contributors.

Ayo Dosunmu led the Timberwolves with 21 points. Jonathan Kuminga provided the decisive spark in the fourth quarter, scoring on a three-pointer and a tip-in that helped extend the Minnesota lead. Kuminga finished the game with 16 points and eight rebounds. LaMelo Ball contributed 20 points, scoring 12 of them in the final period after setting a season high of 34 points in his previous appearance.

The Rockets were led by Alperen Sengun, who recorded his 13th career triple-double with 17 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists. Kevin Durant added 21 points, and Fred VanVleet contributed 18. Houston led by two points midway through the fourth quarter before a 10-2 run by Minnesota shifted the momentum.

Minnesota played without star forward Anthony Edwards, who is out for up to two months following arthroscopic knee surgery. Guard Terrence Shannon Jr. also missed his second consecutive game due to a bruised hip. Jaden McDaniels recorded 14 points and eight rebounds for the visitors.

Kuminga received a flagrant foul 1 in the second quarter after elbowing Sengun in the jaw. The Timberwolves will travel to New Orleans on Friday night. The Rockets will host a game against the Phoenix Suns on Saturday night.
