The 2026 edition of the Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes opened on Wednesday, November 4, 2026. The production marks a shift in format by introducing a new tap routine and integrating live camera technology into the show at the Radio City Music Hall.

The show has run in New York for generations as a holiday tradition. For the 2026 season, the creative team added specific elements to update the experience. The production now features ten Rockette numbers, the highest count in the show's history. This expansion adds variety to the repertoire and increases the duration of the ensemble's performance segments.

A central addition to the program is a new tap sequence titled 'Ring.' Choreographer Chloé Arnold, an Emmy nominee, designed the routine. She worked with the Rockettes' creative team and Julie Branam, the company's resident director and choreographer. The routine emphasizes athletic and contemporary tap styles. The company presented 'Ring' during a special event at the Music Hall to mark the start of the new season. The piece serves as a bridge for the company as it approaches its next century of history.

The production also introduced a new visual system for the audience. Multiple cameras are now mounted on the stage. These devices feed live video to two screens located on either side of the stage. The screens display an aerial view and a side angle from the stage wings. This setup allows spectators to see specific formations and synchronized movements that are difficult to view from standard seating. The technology acts as a supplement to the live performance rather than a replacement.

Organizers expanded the merchandise and food options available to attendees. The new offerings include additional official products and beverages. These items are available for purchase during the performance. The changes aim to enhance the visit for families and tourists attending the show in Midtown Manhattan.

The Christmas Spectacular will run until January 4, 2027. Tickets are available for purchase at rockettes.com. The schedule allows viewers several weeks to see the production during the holiday season.
