Jay-Z will perform the halftime show for Super Bowl LXI.
The announcement landed on a Monday. The NFL, Apple Music, and the rapper confirmed the booking ahead of the February 14, 2027, game. The event is scheduled for SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
Roc Nation has produced the halftime show since 2019. The company recently signed a five-year contract extension to remain in the role through 2029. Since taking over production duties, the shows have shifted their focus toward hip-hop and rap. The 2025 performance at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, featured Bad Bunny alongside guest appearances by Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin. A previous Los Angeles show in 2022 included Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar. That set also featured cameos by 50 Cent and Anderson .Paak. Other recent headliners include Kendrick Lamar and SZA in 2025, Usher in 2024, and Rihanna in 2023.
Jay-Z has never performed at a Super Bowl before. The 25-time Grammy winner has spent 2026 on tour. He is celebrating the 30th anniversary of his debut studio album, Reasonable Doubt, and the 25th anniversary of The Blueprint. The tour began with three nights at Yankee Stadium in July. It then moved to London for two shows and Paris for one in September. His final scheduled concerts took place on October 23 and 24 at SoFi Stadium. That venue will now serve as his rehearsal space for the upcoming Super Bowl appearance.
